The Caradon in Bloom Competition

After a break of two years SECTA was pleased to re-introduce the Caradon in Bloom Competition this year.

Entries were invited from across South East Cornwall and 70 were received. The judges, from Looe in Bloom, were pleased by the quality of entries and found the judging a difficult, but pleasurable, job.

The winning entries are:

Best Private Garden, Mr & Mrs Coles, Looe.
Best Commercial Garden, Treworgey Cottages, Duloe.
Best Private Floral Display, Miss E Walters, Tremar.
Best Commercial Floral Display, Driftwood, Looe.
Best Private Wildlife Garden, C Petherick at St Martin's by Looe.
Best Commercial Wildlife Garden, The Monkey Sanctuary, St Martin's by Looe.
Best Town/Village, Polperro.
Best SECTA Member, Treworgey Cottages.

Caradon in Bloom

Runner up awards also go to: Trawlers by the Quay in Looe; Ginsters in Callington; Caroline Ford, Sandplace; The Old Rectory in Lanreath; Tregertha Court, East Looe; Mr & Mrs Gilbert of Pelynt; D Trewartha in Callington and Mr & Mrs Shears in Liskeard.
